Hello my name is +Brian Slater   Firstly I would like to welcome you to my profile page here at Hubpages and I hope you enjoy reading my articles.  I am a happily married man and a father.  I also write on twitter @ bynackmor so follow me if you can. 

 I am semi-retired, in my 50's and an ex- mechanical engineer who has worked over 25 years working in the pharmaceutical, production engineering and manufacturing  industries.  I have always loved cycling and mountain biking and you will find many articles here on biking and bike accessories to read on this site. I also enjoy some gardening and there are some great articles on how to improve and enhance your own garden. I'm passionate about growing organic fruit and vegetables, many of which I grow in containers, so be sure to check these out.  I also enjoy reading and following other writers here at hubpages, but most of all I love to write, particularly articles on subjects that I know about.

I have an interest in most sports and have tried most things except I wouldn't want to jump out of a aeroplane! This gives me an all round knowledge and an ability to write articles authoritively about a wide range of subjects.
